The whole treating people with respect and having integrity on the mission statement is trash they are more loyal to the customers than they are to the associates. A lot of lying and covering up things and I believe they were shorting me on my check . If you are a person of integrity , this isn’t the place for you. The managers are fake and they act like they care but will throw you under the bus just to save themselves . no recognition, favoritism to the max....the css's call you up to knock the line down but they won't even help you with your department also the css's are rude and no one there knows how to speak to you there and this is the 125th location

It may be different at each location, but the location I work at they use an online website called B-Time. This generates the schedules for them. I asked them how the schedules are generated, as far as what you will get. They said your schedule is based off of your attendance. So, if you have good attendance you will get more hours, not too sure if your shifts would be better or not though. I don't think anyone really has a set schedule. Every week it is different and the shifts too. So, you could be working opening, mid, or closing. Unless you have certain restrictions, such as certain days you need off or maybe only available during certain times of the day. Otherwise, you just never know what your schedule will be until it gets posted.

Mine was pretty easy. I applied for a position online and was surprised to get a call back that same day. I'm sure the interview process depends on who does your interview, but they asked me about my previous work experience and why I chose to apply to Burlington, stuff like that. I was hired that day. They do a background check first, which takes a few days. After that I had my orientation (about a week after my interview).

Lead by example (don't show up late all the time but expect workers to be there on the dot). Give good workers decent hours and treat them with respect.

The ethics, integrity, and morale in the Cleveland area stores was horrible. A lot of lying and covering up things. If you are a honest person, this isn’t the place for you. How can you run a 7 million dollar store with 1 cashier and 2 sales floor associates. Ridiculous! It is hard to trust managers and regional team members. They will throw you under the bus to save themselves with no second thought. There’s little to no training, outdated equipment and lack of recognition. Extreme favoritism.... I could go on and on. Run!!!

For my store, cashier and receiving is $9 hour
Full time department is $10-11 hour
Selling floor supervisor is $13 hour

Embarrassed. No hours,no respect, little money. Nothing to be proud of there. Good workers should be appreciated. Sadly it doesn't happen at the store I work for.
