When you are working under stressful conditions weekly pay is important...at least employees can have something to keep them working for the job and the turn around rate may be lower. But respect of employees is a must.

As a fairly new employee, I don’t see the company growing and changing to meet its customer demand. My first day I was bombarded by angry customers and irritated coworkers due to their extra care program and coupons. This irritation was aimed at me, my job performance and affected the store’s overall score. Which doesn’t seem right for someone just starting to hear their manager and other staff saying that the customers don’t like me and that’s why our score was awful. Many of the veterans in my store don’t explain how the program or coupons work (a customer’s words, not my own) and many of the customers don’t take the time to read the coupons. Many sale items won’t allow a coupon to work with them, customers get so angry about this and the lack of in stock merchandise. I constantly hear that we are wasting paper and killing trees because of all the coupons that the register spits out for them after their sale. My store was just remodeled, but my first week there I noticed many holes in inventory. Also, our registers constantly go down in the middle of a sale. The computers seem a bit ancient, but no one is asking for replacements because it takes way too long. I’m trying to be optimistic regarding the company thinking outside of the box with all of these problems, but they are losing a lot of sales due to irate customers. They might be losing employees too because of this.

As a new hire I made $10.50/hr, but Cvs was my second full time job for several years because no one pays well enough to only have one source of income
