Geico Summary
Geico is a very fast pace work environment and helps you develop good communication skills. Their pressure on employees can be tough or thought as strict since they have several rules dictating time off, bathroom breaks, lunches, and other things that a person might find more flexible another work environment.

It is a paycheck
If you need a job and can pass the test it is a great starting point. If you are willing to be quiet, accept the goals with no question then you will move up quickly.

Good pay and Benefits but subpar metrics.
They provide you with 3 months of training and it is very thorough. The pay and benefits are excellent but after the training is over, they put you on the phones and monitor every call for training purposes which they review with you constantly. You can lose your job or promotion over the tiniest metrics.

Horrible Place to work!!!!
They will fire you for any reason they can. They have unrealistic expectations. They are looking for robots not humans. If you make any error they will fire you regardless of what they say.

The Best part about working at GEICO is Profit Sharing. All your hardwork pays off.
I enjoy working at GEICO. I continue to be challenged at GEICO daily. Whether it is helping our Insureds through legal methods or providing assistance to our Claim Adjusters.

Great advancement and good benefits
If you work hard and learn your job, you can go far. The quick pass managament program sucks for those that arent in it becuase you can get passed over by people who are not qualified for managment because they got put into the fast pass program simply because they were found at a college job fair. But the pay is great, they have fun and most of the managment is great.

Geico Staff Counsel Miami Discrimination Hub
Do not waste your time. The office is run by one egomaniacal control freak attorney. Either your are legal assistance or lawyer you’ll have to deal with her. Constant stress and crying people all over. Not worth your time and the pay is low. Constantly hiring new people like a bad restaurant. Discrimination at its best.

Amazing company and employees
I seriously don't have a single thing to complain about working for GEICO, other than it was super stressful and did not mix well with my anxiety. However, the atmosphere and the employees made it a lot easier to handle and deal with the stress. Too stressed? Have a meeting with your supervisor or manager, and they will gladly help. Open door policy. Amazing benefits. The best pay for the type of job around. The list just keeps going!

Do Not Apply Here
Been here 4 years and I what I’ve learned is how not treat my employees when I open my own business. Geico literally gives 0 cares about their employees
Pros
None
Cons
Low pay for workloads, management is a huge joke, they really don’t care about their customers

Worked in a sales office
Sales office , vacation and time off was frowned upon. However the location was busy and fast paced and easy to learn a lot about insurance very quickly

At Your Own Risk
The customer service position takes a special type of person. It's highly stressfull, unrewarding and repetitive. If you enjoy being screamed out and berated for things out of your control for 8 hours a day, then this is the job for you.

On the other hand, the company itself is great to work for. They have great benefits, amazing pay, and a reallt good work atmosphere. There is always something going on. The training is beyond compare. I learned so much in the year i was there. Unfortunately, i could not handle the stress.

Not worth it
Sales bonuses are unreal and not worth the effort. They want you to act as a robot and read a scripted message . Only cares about the sale.None of their positions are 40 hrs work week. They do not tell you this in the interview. All hours are 38.75 a week.

Good pay and benefits, but stressful and not a good job work/life balance.
You are available for a pay raise every three months as long as you meet your metrics. Geico pays very well with full health, vision, dental, 401k, and profit sharing benefits. The pay and benefits made it extremely difficult to leave the company, but the job was so stressful. I went into work everyday hating life. It is a very draining job mentally and physically. Because of this, there is a high turnover rate which is why they pay so well. if you are able to put up with the stress and call center depression for the pay, I would say work here.

Felt catfished!
I was really hopeful and excited to work at GEICO! To hear about the profit sharing, and understand hard work is rewarded, was right up my alley!

Unfortunately, this job is mentally and emotionally exhausting! It truly feels unbearable and consumes all of you. At the end of the day, you will feel depleted and unsatisfied. The workload is outrageous and the expectations are unrealistic. I don’t understand how people work here, it’s truly modern day slavery.

Amazing
Geico is amazing and sometimes I regret leaving. The only thing I didn't like was working in a call center setting. Other than that everything about the company is phenomenal.

High stress, extremely demanding and average pay.
Management is out of touch with reality. Ridiculous expectations, little to no support, and a ludicrous claims load were the order of the day. My supervisor never answered his phone and he did the same to customers. The initial training, three months, was extensive but I was on my own after that. It seemed like the goal post was moved daily. Goals were constantly increased and there was never any support. People would quit and their work was assigned to you with no additional assistance. You might as well work at a body shop, the money is better and the small team environment is way more supportive than the corporate, lets enslave you, culture.
Pros
Pay was okay. Profit sharing was good but was not worth taking the job.
Cons
Everything else.

Unprofessional
I was told it would be a very professional environment. That couldn't be further from the truth. I just sit around all day waiting for all the nonsense to stop so we can get back to work. You will be laughed at and ridiculed by the entire staff during your roll plays, including the trainers. They wont write a script, but expect you to stick to one. I thought one girl was going to run out crying and quit....she was trying so hard during role play and everyone was laughing at her so loudly and making snide comments....the trainers were laughing so hard themselves they had a hard time giving feedback.
Pros
the day i find a new job and quit
Cons
the day I turned down State Farm for Geico
