No but they should. Employees come in high or get high during breaks. Most managers say just as long as it doesn’t affect their work it’s fine. Even some of the managers get high when they are off shift.

I told the associate at the front I was there for orientation. Waited 10-15 minutes while the hiring manager / lead manager were talking and laughing in front of me. When the lead manager came by, he had us go to a booth and sit down and had an iPad in hand. He walked through a bunch of paperwork that I needed to fill out on the iPad. I needed to put in my information (ie. social, etc). as well as make a login for the system (for clocking in and out). The process took about 40 minutes once the manager actually showed up. I then had to go home, go online and watch videos and answer a bunch of questions (as if I was doing a school project or something). Very tedious.

I know this question is about food in specific but I thought I should mention, the Panera I worked at, they will throw out your drink unless you have a lid, a straw, and your name on it. I saw coworkers who would put food next to their drink, on a napkin that has their name written on it (clearly their food), and managers will purposefully toss it.

The work environment was stressful. Managers (and even other coworkers) would talk about you right next to you, meaning you could hear all the nasty remarks they are making about you. Half of the building was under the influence. Managers would always send home early or not schedule dishwashers and force me to go wash dishes- I was a cashier / bakery opener / assosiate. It wasn't in my job description to do the dishes. I was also thrown onto dishes without ever being told how to work anything back there or where to put dishes when I was finished washing them. The environment is very unmotivated, unhappy, and therefor, mean.

Im only getting 8-12 hours per week. I think Im a very good worker and doing a good job. I want to be part time around 20-25 hours though ..not sure whats going on ..now I am wondering if I am not liked or a lousy worker? a few of the people there are super abrasive and a few that are super nice so I cant get a read on anything. its very fast paced , they want 3 minute ticket times and its hard to do sometimes when you get 10+ items to make at once.

I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Basic questions about why you want to work there, what experience you have, etc. Fairly straightforward and simple.
