If you want to work full time +40 you have to be either a Manager, Tech Supervisor, Copy & Print supervisor, or inventory specialist. Part time which is low in responsibilities (sales associates) are given 25 hours max. However around Holidays and back to school time, there is an opportunity for part time employees to labor 30 hours. Note: once you're employed over a year, you will be paid on major holidays of 4 hours. Only managers get paid vacation days. It is also important that managers heavily despise calling off work. It is better to call in late than not showing up at all.

I got an interview in about a month after I applied. Since my previous work experience were out of state, it took about two weeks for my background check to be approved. After you will have to take paid computer training, which typically last 4 days. After that you will be put on the sales floor to train with another associate. After a week or so you will labor alone. Note: background check is very important at Staples since they carry Hewitt Packard products. Your employment will be terminated if your records show: Larceny, burgarly, trespassing, breaking and entering, DUI, Assualt and Battery, Fraud, Arsony, Perjury.
